For physiotherapy treatment, the therapist usually requires a valid prescription from a doctor. Please note that this prescription must be sent to the CNS within 30 days of being issued. Otherwise, the prescription will not be accepted by the insurance company.
Important: If a prescription is not available, it is still possible to carry out the therapy, but in this case the patient will have to pay the full cost of the treatment.
Please contact me if you have any questions about prescriptions or costs. I will be pleased to advise you so that we can find the best solution for your individual case.
Osteopathy is a recognised profession in Luxembourg and osteopaths need a valid work permit to practise. However, the CNS (Caisse Nationale de Santé) does not currently cover the costs of osteopathic treatment. This means that patients have to pay for the treatment themselves.
However, if you have supplementary health insurance, this will in most cases cover part of the cost of osteopathic treatment. It is therefore advisable to check with your insurance company in advance to find out if these services are covered.
Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Please note that an appointment will be charged in full if cancelled less than 24 hours in advance or in the event of a no-show.
Thank you for your consideration and understanding.
Mild reactions can occasionally occur after osteopathic treatment, but these are usually only temporary. Some people report a feeling of tiredness, mild muscle pain or a 'pulling' sensation in the treated areas - similar to the feeling after an intense stretch or movement. These symptoms usually disappear within 24 to 48 hours.
It is also possible for existing symptoms to get a little worse for a short time before there is a lasting improvement. This is called initial aggravation and is a normal reaction of the body to treatment. It shows that the body has started a healing process. These increased symptoms usually subside after a short time.
It is important to listen to your body and take it easy after treatment. Make sure you drink plenty of water to help your body recover. If you experience severe or persistent discomfort, please do not hesitate to contact me – I will be happy to help and answer any questions you may have.
Overall, osteopathic treatment is very gentle and individualised, so side effects are usually only temporary.
Please write to me. I will be happy to help you.
